Lindsay Kanter

Lindsay Kanter is an experienced criminal defense lawyer dedicated to appellate and post-conviction advocacy. Prior to establishing her own practice, she was a trial attorney at the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Massachusetts for many years, trying cases in both the District and Superior Courts, and litigating an appeal before the Supreme Judicial Court.

Before her time as a public defender, Lindsay served as a law clerk for the Alaska Supreme Court. She graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, magna cum laude, in 2008, where she was an Executive Editor on the Michigan Law Review and received the Ralph M. Freeman Foundation Award for excellence in criminal law and procedure and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for excellence in trial advocacy. She graduated from Reed College in 2001, with a B.A. in psychology.
